Wow! I popped my double sheepskin in the washer with this stuff and it came out great. The sheepskin had spent the winter on the floor as my dogs’ favorite sleeping place. By springtime it really stank. Not any more!

    freshened up musty sheepskin rugs

I used this wool wash on several sheepskin rugs that I had in storage for 15 years. You can imagine how musty they smelled! I had never washed the sheepskins because I didn't want to damage the wool nor the skin. The Outback Gold Wool Wash is specially formulated to clean sheepskin rugs, and it sure did a fantastic job of bringing my rugs back to looking like new again, and smelling wonderful! My only regret is I didn't buy the larger size!

Did very well on my sheepskins, soft, clean!

Over the years the sheepskins thrown over my sofa back etc have gotten grimy and tangled. I had tried washing them in a widely available delicates DETERGENT but they came out...coarse. One by one I ran the skins through a regular toploader using this SOAP, putting the skin in a mesh laundry bag to reduce tangling, then spread them to dry over a screen in my garage, periodically giving them a good shake. End result: clean and soft. They retained a slight scent which was only noticeable if I put my nose into the wool. I then used a wire pet brush to comb out the fibers (restful while watching TV) and my 20 year old skins look wonderful again!
