Desert Breeze Distributing ("we," "us") operates desertbreeze.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain English on purpose.
What we collect
- Order information — your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, and the items you purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal; card numbers go directly to them and are never stored on our systems.
- Account information — if you create an account: your login email, order history, and saved addresses.
- Newsletter signups — your email address, if you subscribe.
- Wholesale & educator applications — the business details you submit on our application form (processed via Formspree).
- Site usage — like most websites, we use cookies and analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, device type, general location). See "Cookies" below.
How we use it
- To process and ship your orders and provide customer service.
- To send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and (only if you subscribed) our email newsletter — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To improve our website and product selection.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the categories of service providers needed to run the store: our e-commerce platform, payment processors, shipping partners and delivery carriers, our email newsletter service, our site analytics provider (Google Analytics), our application form processor, and our affiliate program platform. Each receives only the information it needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to sell your data.
Cookies
We use three kinds of cookies: essential cookies that make the store work (your cart, staying logged in), analytics cookies from Google Analytics that tell us how the site is used, and marketing cookies from our email service that help us send relevant emails to subscribers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout require essential cookies to function. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Analytics.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing email anytime via the link in any newsletter.
- Ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by reaching out through our contact page.
- California residents: you have the right to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, and to request deletion. Use the contact page and we will respond within 45 days. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
Our store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security & retention
The entire site runs over HTTPS. We keep order records as long as needed for accounting, warranty, and legal requirements, and delete or anonymize data we no longer need.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
