Harvest is in full swing in the fields all around our warehouse. Idaho grows about a third of America’s potatoes. That’s roughly three tons for every person who lives here, and fall is when they all come out of the ground.
We’re spoiled. Fresh potatoes straight from the field carry us through the winter and into spring.
Around here, fall runs on a simple routine: the potatoes go into storage, and the woolens come out. One gentle wash with a little lanolin-rich Outback Gold, and they’re soft, fresh and ready for the first cold morning.
