About this wool
Extra-fine Merino combed top — one of the softest, most workable fibers you can put your hands on. At roughly 19–22 microns with a 58–70 mm (2.3–2.75 in) staple, it drafts smoothly, felts quickly, and spins to a fine, even yarn.
Merino’s natural keratin structure gives it the qualities fiber artists reach for:
- Soft enough for next-to-skin wear, with no scratch
- Springy and resilient — holds its shape and loft
- Naturally temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking
- Takes color beautifully, with rich, consistent saturation
